{oooh oooh oooh! new products!}

First off . . .
I love Halloween! I love the magical, spells, witchy, side of it!! So, I hope your Halloween is extraordinary!!

Ok, now to the news!! I have two new products in the stores!! And I can't wait to show ya!

First, I have a new template pack called "Fun & Flirty Templates". (I teased you with a LO from these the other day). They turned out so great! I am really liking them so much!! I hope you will too!!

It's a 4-pack, and I even threw in some free staples for you!! You can pick up "Fun & Flirty Templates" at ScrapMatters OR scraphead. Either one!!

And secondly, I have a brand new paper pack! It's called "Do Me a Solid"!

I think I'll find myself using these OVER and OVER. I love solids!!! :) "Do Me A Solid" is also at both ScrapMatters or scraphead!

First thing, I'd like to share my latest LOs!

I really wanted to do it again this year but there just wasn't a good night that everyone could come, plus we've been so busy!!! My family really rocked the costumes last year!!

ScrapMatters, my digi-scrap-online-home, is having our very first official Design Team call!!

We’re holding our first ever DT call. We’re fairly new on the block, but having a blast!!! Come join in the fun–friendly forums, exciting challenges–with terrific prizes, rapidly expanding gallery and an active international community of fellow scrappers.

We were all paper scrappers first, discovered digi and were hooked! We think that to design you have to love to SCRAP! We expect our designers to post LOs in the gallery.

We try to keep our papers and elements realistic and non-digital looking.

We love all styles–clean and contemporary, shabby, grungy, retro and vintage. We just don’t want it to look digital! If you feel the same way we do, we invite you to apply.

{you'll never guess what happened. . . }

Well, something pretty huge has happened. I got fired! Yep, the scumbag lawyer I worked for hired a new person while I was on vacation and fired me the day I got back. It's a long story, but the bottom line is that in the last few weeks, we lost our file clerk and I guess he wanted me to be able to do two people's jobs myself and it just wasn't possible. I was doing my very best but I was not able to keep up with it all. Then, I guess while I was gone some people told my boss some lies about me and the work I was doing and he got all worked up and decided that after 2 and half years of me working for him and about 4 years total with the firm, that rather than talk to me about his concerns or tell me he was unhappy with anything I was doing that he would go ahead and hire someone while I was gone and just fire me out of the blue. Honestly, the last time we sat down and talked about how my job was going was only a few weeks ago and he was so happy with me that he gave me a RAISE!! I mean, I know he was getting upset that I wasn't getting all the work done, but I guess he thinks this new girl (who is working part time, while his SON works the rest) is going to be able to do it.

It's really a blessing in disguise because I hated my job there, I really wanted to be able to focus more on my design work and try and make it my REAL job and not just a hobby. So I'm sort of forced to leave the comfort of the firm and do other things. It's just how horribly I was treated that makes it hard. It's so weird. I've never been fired in my entire life. And it really is for nothing I did wrong. They showed me absolutely no courtesy. Which, just shocked me, since I'd been there for so long! It's all just very surprising.

So . . . I guess my life has just changed dramatically. I have lots of time to do my design work and all the other things in my life that have fallen through the cracks lately. I just have to get over the shock and the feelings that were hurt. You know? Anyway - that's the amazingly shocking crazy thing that happened to me the day I got back from vacation. Can you believe it??

{low-key weekend)

Ok, so after I titled this post, I realized I guess, even though I don't have a ton going on outside the house this weekend, I'm still pretty busy. When am I ever NOT busy??

But I decided to ignore the laundry, take a break from the wedding slideshow I have to get done this weekend for a client (don't worry, I'll get it done), the digi-scrap design projects I should be working on, the new design I need to finish and get put up at Blessed Events, and everything else that is nagging at me, and just scrap. I can't tell you how good it feels! All you digi-scrap addicts out there know excactly what I mean. To just sit down at your computer and scrap up something cute is the best feeling. So, here's what I scrapped today. (It's actually a CT LO for Shandy! Her new note-a-bles papers are so stinkin' cute!!!)

I guess its time to stop ignoring all that other stuff. I will go put a load of wash in, get the slideshow finished, and design a new baby announcement for "Blessed Events". See ya!

{she's a Daydream Believer}

So, big news!!! My new collaboration kit that I designed with the lovely Leah Hoddinott (ScrapSugar Designs) is up for sale at scraphead.com!!! It was a total labor of love! We worked so hard and PACKED this kit with close to 100mb of awesome goodies! It has SIXTEEN papers. I just love how it came out and I know you will too!


And to celebrate the release of scraphead's very FIRST collab kit, both Leah and I have made up little add-on freebies for y'all!!

I loved the paint swirls Leah made for the kit so much! So I begged her to make some more! She appeased me and made this awesome freebie that is available HERE at scraphead!
